497 FNUS52 KFFC 140709 FWFFFC Fire Weather Planning Forecast for North and Central Georgia National Weather Service Peachtree City GA 309 AM EDT Fri Jun 14 2024 .DISCUSSION... No hazardous fire weather conditions are expected at this time. Hot and mostly dry conditions are expected through Saturday. However, isolated showers and storms will be possible across across the northeast GA mountains and far south- central GA Saturday afternoon. Minimum RH values will range from 30 to 40 percent this afternoon. Partly sunny to mostly sunny skies are anticipated with light winds (< 7 MPH). Today, winds across North Georgia (down to roughly I-20) will be out of the NW, with winds further south out of the NE. Winds look to be more variable on Saturday. Mixing heights top out between 6500 - 7500 ft today. Transport winds across far south- central GA will increase between 10-15 MPH and elsewhere speeds will be below 10 MPH. Temperatures will continue to warm both today and Saturday with forecast highs in the mid to upper 90s and approaching 100 across Central GA on Saturday.
