.DISCUSSION...

Good afternoon. The influence of high pressure centered to the
northeast of Georgia is expected to keep conditions dry and rain-
free on Thursday and Thursday night. Temperatures are expected to
rise to a high of 91 in the mid to late afternoon hours under mostly
clear skies. Temperatures will steadily decrease after 6 PM,
dropping to 86 by 8 PM and down to 80 by 10 PM. Relative humidity
values under 40 percent in the peak heating hours will keep heat
index values from rising noticeably higher than temperatures. Winds
will be from the east at around 10 mph with gusts up to 18 mph in
the afternoon on Thursday, dropping to 6-8 mph during the evening.
