...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in South
Dakota...

  East Fork Vermillion River near Parker affecting Turner County.

  Vermillion River near Vermillion affecting Clay County.

  Vermillion River near Wakonda affecting Clay County.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

* WHAT...Major flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.
  This approaches the flood of record.

* WHERE...East Fork Vermillion River near Parker.

* WHEN...Until Thursday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...At 17.0 feet, Hwy 19 north of 272nd begins to floood.
  Water begins to approach at least one house off of 272nd St.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1:15 AM CDT Sunday the stage was 17.1 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 1:15 AM CDT Sunday was 17.1 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 17.5
    feet this afternoon.
  - Flood stage is 12.0 feet.

  461st Avenue near Lodi, and the highest levees will be overtopped.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1:00 AM CDT Sunday the stage was 18.4 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 1:00 AM CDT Sunday was 18.9 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 19.9
    feet tonight.
  - Flood stage is 14.0 feet.
