On Wednesday afternoon, heat index values could approach 100 degrees in various parts of both our Nebraska and Kansas counties. Between late Thursday afternoon and Sunday, there are various, on-and-off thunderstorm chances within the area, with the overall most widespread activity currently anticipated between Friday evening and Saturday night.
