Expect mainly clear skies this morning with increasing clouds and a
slight chance for isolated thunderstorms by this evening. Today is
expected to be the hottest day of the year thus far with most
locations forecast to see highs right around or just over 100
degrees this afternoon. Heat index values may reach as high as 108
degrees. A Heat Advisory will be in effect from 1PM to 8PM today.
The 100 degree heat will last into Tuesday across north central
Kansas...while most Nebraska zones should see a slight cool down
back into the 90s for highs Tuesday afternoon.
