Weather Summary for Portions of the Central Plains
National Weather Service Hastings NE
718 PM CDT Sun Jun 9 2024

Taking an overview of the first three days of the upcoming work week
across our central/south central Nebraska and north central Kansas
coverage area...there are really two main weather stories.
Firstly...and continuing a trend that started today...each of the
next three days will be a bit warmer than the last...with most areas
reaching the low to mid 80s Monday...mid to upper 80s Tuesday...and
then widespread 90s Wednesday. In fact...Wednesday is likely to
finally bring the first 90 degree readings of the year to the
Nebraska Tri Cities. The second main story of Monday through
Wednesday is that it will surely remain dry the vast majority of the
time. The primary exception will be between late Monday night into
Tuesday daytime...when spotty showers and mainly weak thunderstorms
could affect some...but not all...of our area. Overall...most of the
upcoming work week looks more dry than wet...with potentially better
chances for more widespread rain probably holding off until the
weekend.
