...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT NORTHWESTERN MONTROSE AND SOUTH
CENTRAL MESA COUNTIES THROUGH 315 PM MDT...

At 249 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms 22 miles north of Nucla, or 34 miles south of Grand
Junction, moving northeast at 40 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Escalante Forks.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Persons in campgrounds should consider seeking sturdy shelter until
this storm passes.
