...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTH CENTRAL MESA AND SOUTH
CENTRAL GARFIELD COUNTIES THROUGH 400 PM MDT...

At 329 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
De Beque, or 25 miles northeast of Grand Junction, moving northeast
at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Parachute, De Beque, and Battlement Mesa.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 70 in Colorado between mile markers 56 and 73.
 Colorado 65 near mile marker 54.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
