...ON THIS DATE IN WEATHER HISTORY...

In 1999, afternoon thunderstorms brought large hail to many locations
in the Tri State area.  The largest hail, the size of golf balls, fell in Rawlins
and Decatur counties.  Hail was also reported in Norton, Sheridan, Logan
and Greeley counties, with a single severe wind report near Cheyenne
Wells, Colorado in Cheyenne County.
