...ON THIS DATE IN WEATHER HISTORY...

In 1995, the second earliest measurable snowfall on record occurred
in Goodland, Kansas, with 3.8 inches. In eastern Colorado, heavy snow
up to 10 inches snapped tree branches and power lines, and caused
extensive damage to immature crops. Snow amounts included 10 inches
at Joes and Idalia and 7 inches at Bonny Reservoir.
