...ON THIS DATE IN WEATHER HISTORY...

In 2003, penny sized hail was reported 13 miles southeast of Hill City,
Kansas around 1 AM local time.  The developing thunderstorm responsible
for the report continued to move across Kansas, later combining with a
larger, slower thunderstorm over central Kansas.
