Regional Weather Summary for the High Plains

Over the past 24 hours, the Tri State region has seen daytime
highs top of in the upper 80s into the lower and mid 90s. Lows
during this time were in the 60s. Scattered showers and storms
did occur for some areas along and north of Highway 36. Wind
gusts during the day yesterday did reach into the 40 to 50 mph
range. There was also patchy fog yesterday morning east of
Highway 25.

OUTLOOK... hot persistent daytime highs in the 90s with some 100s,
are expected today, into the upcoming weekend and through next
week. With these highs, next Monday and Tuesday could have heat
indices of 100 to 105 for areas east of Highway 25. Lows over
this timeframe will be in the 60s and 70s. Other weather notes
will have gusts 40 to 50 mph today and tonight. Also scattered
showers and storms are expected today into the weekend, and for
portions of next week as well.
