Regional Weather Summary for the High Plains

Scattered showers and thunderstorms developed Thursday afternoon
and evening in parts of northeast Colorado and in northwest Kansas
south of Interstate 70. Additional showers and isolated
thunderstorms moved across far northeast Colorado during the
overnight hours and into southwest Nebraska. Temperatures during
the overnight were mainly in the 60s with light east winds.

OUTLOOK... a few showers and isolated thunderstorms this morning
will give way to partly cloudy skies this afternoon with highs in
the upper 80s. Scattered to numerous thunderstorms will develop in
northeast Colorado this afternoon and move through the remainder
of the area this evening. Some of these storms may be severe. Lows
tonight will be in the 60s. Saturday will be partly sunny with
scattered afternoon and early evening storms, mainly in northwest
Kansas. Highs will be in the lower 90s. Sunday will be mostly
sunny and hot with highs in the upper 90s to lower 100s. Sunday
night will see a slight chance for thunderstorms and lows in the
60s and 70s.
