The Central High Plains region observed partly cloudy skies
overnight. At 2am MDT (3am CDT) temperatures ranged from 66 degrees
in Yuma, Colorado to 81 degrees in Russell Springs, Kansas.

OUTLOOK... A reprieve from the triple digit heat is in store for
today with high temperatures in the low to mid 90s across the
Tri- State area. Thunderstorms look to develop across eastern
Colorado during the late afternoon and into the evening hours and
grow upscale into northwest Kansas and southwest Nebraska
overnight. Some severe storms are possible along with torrential
rainfall. Continued highs in the upper 80s to 90s are forecast
Thursday and Friday with continued chances for afternoon and
evening showers and storms.
