...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT NORTHERN WOOD...NORTHERN PORTAGE
AND SOUTHERN MARATHON COUNTIES THROUGH 145 AM CDT...

At 1257 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 6 miles northeast of Marshfield to 13 miles
north of Wisconsin Rapids. Movement was east at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Stevens Point, Wisconsin Rapids, Marshfield, Mosinee, Spencer,
Whiting, Amherst, Pittsville, Plover, and Stockton.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
