.DISCUSSION...

- Fair and Very Warm Weather This Weekend and Next Week

Ridging at the sfc and aloft will continue to bring fair and very
mild wx through the weekend. We expect nothing more than some sct
to bkn high cloud cover today as suggested by the 00Z HREF.

The 00Z HREF shows potential for fairly extensive low cloud cover
off of Lake Huron and Lake Erie over our eastern fcst area early
this morning but this continues to look overdone as winds are aob
5 kts out of the east. Some patchy fog is expected particularly
across our eastern fcst area early this morning. High temps today
will once again reach well into the mid to perhaps upper 80s with
much of the same again for tomorrow.

Mid to upper level ridging will continue to bring more of the
same with very warm wx through the upcoming week with no
precipitation. High temps will continue to reach the 80s daily.

.AVIATION /12Z TAFS THROUGH 12Z SUNDAY/...
Issued at 555 AM EDT Sat Sep 14 2024

High pressure will continue to control the weather here in
Southwest Lower MI through the period. This feature will provide
the TAF sites with mainly clear skies and a general east to
southeast wind. Any patchy fog to start the day will dissipate
shortly after sunrise. A few gusts up around 15 knot may be
possible this afternoon, when the mixing height will be deepest.

.MARINE...
Issued at 300 AM EDT Sat Sep 14 2024

Minimal wave heights of two feet or less are forecast through the
weekend given weak offshore easterly winds. This same general wx
pattern with light winds and minimal wave heights will continue
next week.
