Light showers continue this afternoon. This is ahead of more prominent rains beginning overnight tonight into Thursday. There will be the chance of thunder Thursday afternoon, with the heaviest rains expected then. This should be an areawide wetting rain, with just over an inch expected in most areas, and some isolated locations in NH seeing up to 2.5". Rain tapers late Thursday evening. Dry weather returns for the weekend, with warmer temperatures. The next chance of rain appears unlikely until the middle of next week.
