...FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM HST THIS EVENING FOR
THE ISLAND OF HAWAII IN HAWAII COUNTY...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...The island of Hawaii in Hawaii County.

* WHEN...Until 800 PM HST.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding on roads, poor drainage areas, and in
  streams. Water over roadways.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 525 PM HST, emergency management reported heavy rain over
    Kailua Kona with water on roadways on Kuakini highway near
    Lako st. Rain was falling earlier at rates of up to 1 inch
    per hour. Showers have decreased over the area and the Waiaha
    stream gauge is also showing a gradual decrease of stream
    flow. Water should continue to recede this evening.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Kailua-Kona, Holualoa, Honalo, Kahaluu-Keauhou and Kalaoa.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Stay away from streams, drainage ditches and low lying areas prone
to flooding.

persists.
