936 FNUS54 KHUN 231904 FWFHUN Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Alabama National Weather Service Huntsville AL 204 PM CDT Sun Jun 23 2024 .DISCUSSION... A broken line of showers with a few embedded thunderstorms (currently over Tennessee) is expected to move over the local area late this afternoon through this evening, bringing low chances (15-30%) of precipitation. For areas that do see measurable rain, it likely will be less than a quarter of an inch. Some gusty winds are possible in the stronger showers/storms. Rain chances then dwindle into the overnight hours and no rain is forecast through Tuesday. Temperatures will be hot, with mid to upper 90s anticipated in the afternoon both Monday and Tuesday. Mixing heights are expected to reach generally between 5000-7000 ft each day. Transport winds will be out of the north at around 10 mph on Monday and west/northwest around 5 mph on Tuesday. Daytime dispersions will be generally good to very good on Monday with fair dispersions on Tuesday. Fog potential over the next few days: Patchy fog is possible late tonight into early Monday morning. Potential for Red Flag Conditions: None at this time.
