This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of Central Kansas,
South Central Kansas and Southeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Heat indices this afternoon will climb into the 100 to 104 degree
range.

There is a chance for thunderstorms late this afternoon through
early tonight, mainly along and east of a Salina to Wichita to
Arkansas City line. A few of the storms could be strong to
marginally severe, capable of down-burst winds of 50 to 60 mph and
dime to quarter size hail.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday

Heat indices around 100 to 103 degrees will affect much of the area
on Sunday afternoon. The most intense heat is expected during the
afternoon hours on Monday and Tuesday, ranging from 105 to 110
degrees.

Periodic chances for thunderstorms will return to much of the area
from Tuesday afternoon through Friday. A few strong storms will be
possible.
