A line of showers and thunderstorms was impacting central Kansas
early this morning. This activity was drifting slowly eastward
bringing gusty winds and brief heavy rain. Elsewhere, under partly
to mostly cloudy conditions early morning temperatures ranged from
the lower 60s in extreme western Kansas to near 70 in parts of
central and eastern Kansas.

Another warm day is expected across the region again today with
afternoon highs expected to climb into the low to mid 90s across
much of southern Kansas while upper 80s will be common in northern
Kansas. Scattered storms may develop this afternoon across central
Kansas spreading eastward late this afternoon and early evening.

A few storms may linger into the overnight hours, especially
across northeast Kansas. Low temperatures tonight will fall into
the low to mid 50s in western Kansas while much of central and
eastern Kansas sees lows near 70.
