Another warm day for the Sun Flower State as temperatures reached
into the low to mid 90s under mostly sunny to partly cloudy
skies. Some areas in western part of the state saw thicker cloud
cover and only reached into the mid 80s.

Showers and thunderstorms have developed this afternoon over
western Nebraska to eastern Colorado to New Mexico. The upper
level disturbance kicking off these storms will track eastward
this evening and overnight and will affect western Kansas then
later central and eastern Nebraska along with central Kansas.
Storms may become strong to severe. Otherwise skies will be partly
to mostly cloud with lows in the 60s west to the low 70s
eastward.

Another warm day is on tap for Saturday with temperatures rising
into the low to mid 90s under partly cloudy skies. There are
chances again for convection to develop in the afternoon and
evening across western and central Kansas.
