Showers and storms continue to move across portions of northern
Oklahoma and eastern Kansas. The bulk of these showers and storms
should dissipate near sunrise this morning. Otherwise, another hot
afternoon is expected across the southern half of Kansas into
Oklahoma with heat index values up to 110 degrees with the warmest
across Oklahoma. Thunderstorms are possible across the region this
evening into tonight. Damaging winds up to 60 mph and heavy
rainfall are the chief concerns. A wide range of low temperatures
is expected tonight into Saturday morning with values ranging from
near 80 in southeast Kansas to near 60 across northwest Kansas.
