956 WGUS83 KJKL 242349 FLSJKL Flood Advisory National Weather Service Jackson KY 749 PM EDT Tue Sep 24 2024 KYC095-133-193-250300- /O.NEW.KJKL.FA.Y.0107.240924T2349Z-240925T0300Z/ /00000.N.ER.000000T0000Z.000000T0000Z.000000T0000Z.OO/ Harlan KY-Letcher KY-Perry KY- 749 PM EDT Tue Sep 24 2024 ...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 PM EDT THIS EVENING... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of southeast Kentucky, including the following counties, Harlan, Letcher and Perry. * WHEN...Until 1100 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 749 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Up to 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Cumberland, Delphia, Hiram, Gordon, Gilley, Kingdom Come S.P., Totz, Defeated Creek, Linefork, Arthur, Pine Mountain and Big Laurel. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
