More widespread rain chances in the form of showers and some thunderstorms return through this evening with the arrival of the next cold front. Some of the storms could produce strong to damaging wind gusts. Cooler air briefly returns behind the cold front on Thursday, before heat again builds late in the week. Another cold front should bring chances for showers or a thunderstorm over the upcoming weekend.
