...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT NORTHEASTERN BELL...KNOX...
SOUTHWESTERN LESLIE...CENTRAL WHITLEY AND SOUTHEASTERN CLAY COUNTIES
THROUGH 530 PM EDT...

At 459 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from Sandy Fork to Williamsburg. Movement was
northeast at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Williamsburg, Barbourville, Julip, Sandy Fork, Hoskinston,
Brightshade, Swan Lake, Gausdale, Erose, Cranes Nest, Blanche, Krupp,
Rella, Stinnett, Ice Cliff, Avis, Dewitt, Flat Lick, Wilton, and
Bimble.

THIS INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING HIGHWAYS...
 Interstate 75 in east central Kentucky between mile markers 10 and
27.
 U.S. Highway 25 East in Bell County between mile markers 17 and 18.
 U.S. Highway 25 East in Knox County between mile markers 1 and 26.
 U.S. Highway 25 East in Laurel County near mile marker 0.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 800 PM EDT for
south central and southeastern Kentucky.
