...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHWESTERN HARLAN...BELL AND
SOUTHEASTERN WHITLEY COUNTIES THROUGH 900 PM EDT...

At 815 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Fonde, or 8 miles west of Middlesboro, moving east at 50 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Pineville, Middlesboro, Wallins Creek, East Pineville, Varilla,
Coldiron, Ingram, Ponza, Black Snake, Kentenia, Straight Creek,
Pruden, Polly Camp, Cubage, Binghamtown, Clear Creek Springs,
Wasioto, Meldrum, Hutch, and Blackmont.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM EDT for
southeastern Kentucky.
