...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT WEST CENTRAL HARLAN...
NORTHEASTERN BELL...EASTERN KNOX...SOUTHWESTERN LESLIE AND
SOUTHEASTERN CLAY COUNTIES THROUGH 915 PM EDT...

At 849 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Flat Lick, or near Pineville, moving northeast at 45 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Barbourville, Pineville, Loyall, Wallins Creek, Sandy Fork, Bledsoe,
Artemus, Brightshade, Coldiron, Barnyard, Salt Gum, Beverly, Saylor,
Erose, Blanche, Rella, Clear Creek Springs, Wasioto, Ice Cliff, and
Avis.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM EDT for
southeastern Kentucky.
