This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of western and north
central Nebraska.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Elevated to near-critical fire weather conditions are expected across
much of western and north central Nebraska Friday afternoon. The area
of greatest concern will be west of Highway 83 and north of Highway
2. The combination of above normal temperatures, dry air, and gusty
south winds will be favorable for the spread of any fire starts.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

A storm system is still on track to move into the immediate area
Saturday through Sunday. While severe weather is not expected,
locally heavy rainfall nearing one inch will be possible for areas
along and south of Interstate 80. Forecast rainfall amounts decrease
rapidly with northward extend and many areas along Highway 20 are
unlikely to see much if any measurable rainfall.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation is not expected at this time.
