244 AWUS83 KLBF 181527 RWSLBF NEZ004>010-022>029-035>038-056>059-069>071-094-182030- Weather Summary for Western and North Central Nebraska National Weather Service North Platte NE 1027 AM CDT Tue Jun 18 2024 /927 AM MDT Tue Jun 18 2024/ Around midnight CT, an area of low pressure and associated cold front moved east across the Nebraska Panhandle. As the front moved eastward strong southerly winds backed to the northwest and remained gusty with some observation sites in the west noting wind gusts up to 56 miles per hour at Imperial shortly after midnight. The stronger winds and cloud coverage kept the air mixed where overnight lows ranged from 54 degrees in the Panhandle, ranging into the upper 70s on the east end of the state. Today the cold front will continue to push east with gusty northwest winds and temperatures peaking in the upper 60s in portions of the northwest sandhills to middle 80s southwest. A marginal risk for severe thunderstorms remains possible for the far eastern portions of the forecast area to include communities east of a line from O`Neill, southwest to Westerville and Stockville. $$ Keck
