An upper level area of low pressure continued to approach the
central and southern plains overnight and led to showers across
far southern Nebraska and Kansas. Rainfall was confined to far
southwestern Nebraska and was generally around a quarter inch.
Elsewhere, skies were partly to mostly cloudy and overnight lows
ranged from the middle 30s over northern Nebraska, to the 40s
and lower 50s over the Sandhills and southwestern Nebraska.

Skies today will remain partly cloudy over northern Nebraska with
mostly cloudy skies expected elsewhere. There will be a continued
chance for light rain over far southwestern Nebraska, mainly
through mid afternoon. Highs today will range from around 60
degrees in southwestern Nebraska, to near 70 degrees along the
South Dakota and Nebraska border.

Expect clearing skies and light winds tonight as high pressure
builds into the region. Temperatures will be chilly tonight with
lows ranging from the middle 30s to around 40 degrees. Patchy
frost is possible in some areas of the Sandhills and southwestern
Nebraska.
