Showers with embedded thunderstorms passed through western and
north central Nebraska overnight. Precipitation totals were
generally under two tenths of an inch across the area. Overnight
lows were in the upper 60s to around 70 degrees.

Expect partly to mostly cloudy skies across western and north
central Nebraska today. With gusty southerly winds, highs will
range from around 80 degrees in the eastern Sandhills, to the
lower 90s in far southwestern Nebraska.

Showers and thunderstorms will develop late this afternoon in the
Panhandle and western South Dakota. This activity will track east
and southeast into western and north central Nebraska this
afternoon and evening. Severe storms are expected with large hail
and damaging winds expected. Isolated tornadoes are possible.
Lows tonight will be in the 60s. Highs on Friday will be in the
80s to lower 90s.
