...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTH CENTRAL CHERRY...EAST
CENTRAL GRANT AND CENTRAL HOOKER COUNTIES THROUGH 715 PM MDT...

At 628 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 10
miles southeast of Whitman, or 23 miles southwest of Mullen, moving
northeast at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Mullen, Carr Lake, Hecla, Highway 97 crossing the Dismal River,
Kelso, and Weir.

This includes the following highways...
 Highway 2 between mile markers 167 and 190.
 Highway 97 between mile markers 54 and 77.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 PM MDT for
north central and west central Nebraska.
