...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT EASTERN GARFIELD...SOUTHEASTERN
HOLT AND WHEELER COUNTIES THROUGH 300 AM CDT...

At 135 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Amelia to near Fort Hartsuff State Park.
Movement was east at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Ewing, Chambers, Bartlett, Ericson, Amelia, Knievels Corner, Buffalo
Flats, Sunfish Lake, Cumminsville, Four Corners, Pibel Lake State
Recreation Area, Goose Lake State Wildlife Management Area, and
Gables.

This includes the following highways...
 Highway 20 between mile markers 323 and 328.
 Highway 281 between mile markers 132 and 171.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

To report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement
agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service
office in North Platte.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 600 AM CDT for
north central Nebraska.
