The severe thunderstorm which prompted the warning has moved out of
the warned area. Therefore, the warning has been cancelled.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM CDT for
north central Nebraska.

...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 700 PM CDT
FOR CENTRAL ROCK AND SOUTHWESTERN HOLT COUNTIES...

At 646 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 10 miles south of
Newport, or 16 miles southeast of Bassett, moving northeast at 35
mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
         roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations impacted include...
Stuart, Newport, Sybrant, Twin Lakes State Wildlife Management Area,
and Pony Lake.

This includes the following highways...
 Highway 183 between mile markers 160 and 178.
 Highway 20 between mile markers 269 and 285.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
