The National Weather Service in North Platte has issued a

* Tornado Warning for...
  Northeastern Arthur County in west central Nebraska...
  Southeastern Grant County in west central Nebraska...
  Southwestern Hooker County in west central Nebraska...
  Northwestern McPherson County in west central Nebraska...

* Until 945 PM CDT/845 PM MDT/.

* At 918 PM CDT/818 PM MDT/, a severe thunderstorm capable of
  producing a tornado was located near Swan Lake, or 22 miles
  northeast of Arthur, moving south at 45 mph.

  HAZARD...Tornado and quarter size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree
           damage is likely.

* This tornadic thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
  northeastern Arthur, southeastern Grant, southwestern Hooker and
  northwestern McPherson Counties, including the following
  locations... Sand Beach Lake, Flatts, Big Lamunyon Flats, Bucktail,
  Cogill Lake, East Cody Lake, Calora, and Three Mile Lake.

This includes Highway 92 between mile markers 175 and 184.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest
floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a
mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter
and protect yourself from flying debris.
