The inherited grid package appears to be in good shape, with the
only update being high temperatures. NBM temperatures have been
running a degree or two cold these past few days, so high temps
were bumped to around 90 to hopefully get ahead of this trend
today.

As has been the case over the last few mornings, areas of
generally light ground fog has again developed across the region.
This should dissipate no later than 14Z. Broad high pressure over
much of the central and eastern Gulf of Mexico combined with upper
level ridging building in from south Texas will keep skies
generally clear. While the NBM keeps the entire area completely
dry, several deterministic model runs do indicate some isolated
convection developing along the Atchafalaya basin so opted to
include 20 PoPs to account. The lack of cloud cover and precip
will allow temperatures to climb into the the lower 90s this
afternoon. The overall pattern isn`t progged to change much
through the end of the week with near identical conditions
expected both Thursday and Friday.

The weekend is expected to remain hot and dry. A ridge aloft will
slide east out of Northern Mexico and Texas and overhead deep SE TX
and LA by Sunday afternoon. Temperatures are anticipated to run
2 to 5 degrees above climo norms for the date.

Early to mid week the ridge will continue east across the northern
gulf coast as a short wave digs into the plains. As the ridge
departs the local area, a very modest increase in rain chances may
occur. Extra cloud cover and afternoon convection may allow
afternoon temperatures to decrease a couple degrees.

Areas of ground fog may intermittently affect area terminals over
the next couple of hours, but should dissipate no later than 14Z. High
pressure at the surface and ridging aloft will keep skies mostly
clear and winds light and variable through the period.
