Waves are provided as a range of significant wave heights, which is the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave, along with the average height of the highest 10% of the waves which will occasionally be encountered. .SYNOPSIS... A broad area of high pressure around 30.4 inches has settled over Quebec and will slide south into the northeast US today. Lake Michigan is situated on the western edge of this high pressure with the remnants of the tropical system over the mid-Mississippi River Valley having all but dissipated. High pressure slowly slides southeast through the weekend and into early next week with winds predominantly southerly to southeasterly through mid week.
