390 FZUS61 KBUF 241326 GLFLO Open Lake Forecast for Lake Ontario National Weather Service Buffalo NY 926 AM EDT Tue Sep 24 2024 For waters beyond five nautical miles of shore on Lake Ontario Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum. .SYNOPSIS...A cold front will stall just to the west of the lake, where it will remain through the middle of the week. Several weak 29.8 inch lows will move along the stalled front through Wednesday. On Thursday, low pressure will exit into New England while a 30.2 inch high builds across Lake Superior. This area of high pressure will expand across the Eastern Great Lakes Friday and Saturday.
