  Nearshore Waters from Wilmette Harbor to Calumet Harbor...

The thunderstorms have weakened and moved out of the warned area and
no longer pose a significant threat to boaters.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 100 AM CDT for
northwestern Indiana.

For the following areas...

  Nearshore Waters from Calumet Harbor to Michigan City...
  Open Waters from Wilmette Harbor to Michigan City out to Mid
Lake...

At 1227 AM CDT, strong thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Michigan City to near Burns Harbor to near Marina
Shores at Dune Harbor, moving east at 45 knots.

HAZARD...Wind gusts to 40 knots.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and
         suddenly higher waves.

Strong thunderstorms will remain over mainly open waters.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Move to safe harbor until hazardous weather passes.
