Open Lake Forecast for Lake Superior

For waters beyond 5 nautical miles of shore on Lake Superior.

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the
highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the
average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS...A 29.6 inch low pressure currently over eastern Lake
Superior heads east toward southern Quebec through this evening
while a 30.2 inch high pressure shifts east over the Northern
Plains. The high will then build to 30.3 inches as it moves east,
reaching the western Great Lakes Sunday morning. As the high
weakens to 30.2 inches while moving to the Lower Great Lakes by
Monday evening, a 29.5 inch low will develop in the Northern
Plains. The low lifts into into northern Ontario by Tuesday
evening then pulls a 29.7 inch trough through Lake Superior late
Tuesday night. 29.9 inch high pressure begins to build in the
middle Mississippi River Valley Wednesday.
