Here is a look at the weather features that will affect the region
over the next several days.

High pressure near New England tonight will drift offshore
through the week. A warm front over the Tennessee River Valley
will lift northeastward across the Mid-Atlantic through Monday,
marking the beginning of a prolonged period of heat. Scattered
thunderstorms are possible near the mountains Monday and Tuesday,
but otherwise dry weather is expected through Saturday. The
heat is predicted to peak Friday into the coming weekend.
