Here is a look at the weather features that will affect the region
over the next several days.

High pressure will remain anchored offshore through the weekend,
resulting in a prolonged period of heat. Afternoon showers and
thunderstorms may be possible to the west of I-81 today, and then
across the entire forecast area this weekend. The heat is
forecast to peak Saturday into Sunday. Another round of
thunderstorms is possible Monday afternoon as a frontal boundary
pushes through.
