This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for a Large Part of Arkansas.

.DAY ONE...Tonight

Scattered showers and thunderstorms will continue to form across
northeast Oklahoma and southwest Missouri this evening. Some of this
activity will eventually affect parts of north Arkansas later this
evening, ahead of an approaching frontal boundary. A few strong or
severe storms will be possible, with damaging wind gusts and large
hail the primary threats.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday

Scattered showers and thunderstorms will be possible on Sunday, as a
cold front moves through the state. A few strong to severe storms
will be possible, with hail and damaging wind gusts the primary
concern.

Hazardous heat is expected to occur once again south of the cold
front across portions of central and southern Arkansas on Sunday.

Through the remainder of the long term period, hazardous heat
will remain the primary concern. Daily high temperatures are
expected to top out near triple digits at most locations, in
conjunction with overnight low temperatures near 80 degrees,
providing little to no relief during the overnight hours.

Daily maximum heat index values will be in excess of 105 to 110
degrees across much of the forecast area, prompting the need for
additional heat headlines.

.Spotter Information Statement...

Spotter activation will not be needed.
