The trend of warmer temperatures will continue today into Monday.
After a few "cooler" days we should finally reach normal this
afternoon which is mid 90s for most. We will likely cross the
century mark in the river valleys. Ridging directly overhead is
producing enough subsidence to keep any rain at bay. We may not
even see our typical isolated shower over the Davis Mountains
today. Very little if anything changes Monday.

The center of the upper ridge will shift west, but remain in control
of our weather through the week. Better moisture across the higher
terrain will lead to a daily occurrence of scattered showers and
storms. Further east, capping will keep rain chances near zero.
Temperatures each afternoon will climb near 100 with the hottest
along the Rio Grande where more Head Advisories could be needed. The
upper ridge looks to shift east by next weekend and may open the
door for a little more Gulf moisture and slightly cooler
temperatures.
