Dry, very warm weather will continue today and Tuesday with
breezy conditions during the afternoons and poor to moderate
overnight mid slope and ridge recoveries. Brief, isolated near
critical fire weather conditions are possible each afternoon in
the mountains surrounding the Scott Valley, mostly driven by low
humidities and diurnal breezes. An upper trough and dry front
Wednesday will bring a period of stronger, gusty winds followed by
more pronounced cooling into Thursday. Then, a warm up is
expected Friday and Saturday.

...FIRE WEATHER WATCH IN EFFECT FROM TUESDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH
TUESDAY EVENING FOR STRONG, GUSTY WINDS AND LOW RH FOR FIRE WEATHER
ZONE 285 IN CALIFORNIA...

Dry weather will continue today with breezy conditions again this
afternoon, though not quite as breezy as yesterday. An upper
trough offshore will cause SW winds to increase Tuesday afternoon
and evening and this should result in a combination of low
afternoon RH and gusty winds. Critical fire weather conditions are
possible for a few hours in the Modoc National Forest. Some
clouds will graze the area Tuesday night into Wednesday, but
probably no rain. A dry front will bring another round of strong,
gusty winds Wednesday followed by a cooling air mass into
Thursday. Then, a warm up is expected Friday and Saturday.
