...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN LAC QUI PARLE...
NORTHEASTERN CHIPPEWA AND NORTH CENTRAL YELLOW MEDICINE COUNTIES
THROUGH 1030 PM CDT...

At 954 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Boyd, or 6 miles southwest of Montevideo, moving northeast at 40 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Montevideo, Clarkfield, Watson, Boyd, and Montevideo Airport.

This includes the following highways...
 U.S. Highway 212 between mile markers 26 and 40.
 U.S. Highway 59 between mile markers 99 and 107.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

To report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement
agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service
office in the Twin Cities.
