...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT NORTHWESTERN GOGEBIC AND CENTRAL
ONTONAGON COUNTIES THROUGH 315 PM EDT/215 PM CDT/...

At 214 PM EDT/114 PM CDT/, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of
strong thunderstorms 11 miles north of Wakefield, or 14 miles
southwest of Porcupine Mountains State Park, moving northeast at 55
mph.

HAZARD...Half inch hail and heavy rain.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible.

Locations impacted include...
Ontonagon, Porcupine Mountains State Park, Ironwood, Bessemer,
Wakefield, Hurley, Bergland, Northern Lake Gogebic, Silver City,
Greenland, Norwich, Thomaston, Little Girls Point, Van Buskirk,
Fourteen Mile Point, Copper Peak, Lake of the Clouds, Clark Lake,
White Pine, and Ironwood Airport.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Persons in campgrounds should consider seeking sturdy shelter until
these storms pass.
