...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 830 PM CDT
FOR NORTHEASTERN POTTAWATTAMIE AND SOUTHERN SHELBY COUNTIES...

At 750 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 4 miles north of
Avoca, or 6 miles south of Harlan, moving northeast at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Ping pong ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Trained weather spotters. At 740 PM, quarter sized hail was
         reported 1 mile east northeast of Shelby.

IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
         damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect wind
         damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations impacted include...
Harlan, Avoca, Walnut, Portsmouth, Tennant, Prairie Rose State Park,
Nishna Bend Recreation Area, Elk Horn Creek Recreation Area, and
Jacksonville.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
