Estimated Peak Wind: 85 mph Fatalities: 0 Injuries: 0 Date: 05/26/2024 Time: 11:26 AM to 11:53 AM CDT Location: Pickett CCC Memorial State Park Lat/Lon: 36.55 / -84.80 Survey Summary: A strong thunderstorm moved over Overton, Pickett, and Fentress Counties late Sunday morning producing winds up to 85 mph. This thunderstorm brought widespread wind damage to the area with numerous trees blown over, downed tree breaches, and downed powerlines. The worst damage was in the area of Pickett CCC Memorial State Park in Pickett County. Additional drone imagery is being collected by Fentress County Fire.
